Ends year on injured reserve
Zaccheaus (toe), who ended the season on injured reserve, finished with 20 receptions for 274 yards and a touchdown over 11 games.
Analysis: Though Zaccheaus missed the final five weeks of the regular season, he was still much more involved offensively compared to his rookie campaign in 2019. The Virginia standout only totaled three catches for 115 yards last season, with 93 of those yards coming from a single Week 14 touchdown reception. With a long offseason on tap to recover from the toe injury, Zaccheaus should receive full medical clearance well in advance of training camp.

Out at least three weeks
The Falcons placed Zaccheaus (toe) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Analysis: Zaccheaus suffered the injury during this past Sunday's win over the Raiders, and he'll be required to miss at least three games while on injured reserve. The 23-year-old speedster has made two starts this season, both when either Julio Jones (hamstring) or Calvin Ridley was sidelined. He's established a 20-274-1 line over 11 games. To add depth during Zaccheaus' absence, the Falcons signed Laquon Treadwell to the active roster.

Leaves Sunday's game
Zaccheaus was forced out of Sunday's game against the Raiders due to a toe injury, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Prior to his exit from the contest, Zaccheaus caught one of his three targets for 11 yards. His absence further taxes the depth of the Falcons' Week 12 wideout corps, which is already minus Julio Jones (hamstring).

Attracts only one target
Zaccheaus caught his only target for 10 yards during Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Saints.
Analysis: Zaccheaus was coming off an explosive four-catch, 103-yard performance Week 9 against the Broncos that included a 51-yard TD, rendering his Week 11 showing a disappointing one in comparison. Even with Matt Ryan chucking up 37 attempts Sunday, Zaccheaus was still held under 15 receiving yards for the fifth time in his past six appearances. The 23-year-old has the open-field speed to provide lucrative fantasy numbers when he slips a crease in a given outing, but he hasn't proven capable of…read more

Limited Friday, but cleared to play
Zaccheaus (knee) was listed as a limited participant Friday, but he carries no injury designation heading into a Week 11 matchup against the Saints, Will McFadden of the Falcons' official site reports.
Analysis: The second-year man out of Virginia made his first injury report appearance of the week Friday, but his limited practice reps seem to represent a precautionary measure given that Zaccheaus is clear for Sunday's NFC South tilt. Zaccheaus hasn't missed a game in 2020, and he provided a season-best 103-yard, one touchdown receiving performance Week 9 against the Broncos. With Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore (abdomen) listed as questionable, Zaccheaus may have a chance to face a depleted New…read more

Breaks century mark in receiving
Zaccheaus accumulated four receptions on six targets, totaling 103 receiving yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 34-27 win against the Broncos.
Analysis: Zaccheaus paced the Falcons in receiving Sunday in large part because of a 51-yard touchdown catch at the 1:24 mark of the first quarter, good for Atlanta's second-longest play from scrimmage all year. The Virginia product recorded zero receptions over his preceding three outings coming into Sunday's matchup, though he was only afforded 34 total snaps during that stretch. This isn't Zaccheaus' first significant outing of 2020, as the 23-year-old also enjoyed a two-game stretch Weeks 3 and 4…read more

Just one catch against Carolina
Zaccheaus hauled in one of his four targets for 13 receiving yards during Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: The second-year wideout from Virginia was considered an interesting waiver wire addition after he racked up 12 receptions and 127 yards between Weeks 3 and 4. Despite Zaccheaus' offensive opportunities being enhanced with Julio Jones (hamstring) inactive against the Panthers, he only managed to corral a quarter of his targets on the afternoon. Zaccheaus will again be a top-three option at wide receiver for the Falcons if Jones is ruled out Week 6 against the Vikings, but it may be tricky to…read more

Could start again
Coach Dirk Koetter said he's confident Zaccheaus and other wide receivers will step up if Julio Jones (hamstring) isn't able to play in Sunday's game against the Panthers, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Jones was inactive for Week 3 and unable to make it to halftime in Week 4, thereby allowing Zaccheaus to play 79 and 76 percent of snaps, respectively, which resulted in a combined total of 12 catches for 127 yards on 15 targets. Jones is listed as questionable for Week 5 and being treated as a game-time decision, but his absence from practice throughout the week suggests he's no better than 50-50 to suit up. Zaccheaus could be be looking at a full-time role in a pass-heavy offense, pending…read more

Team's top target Week 4
Zaccheaus corralled eight of a team-high nine targets for 86 receiving yards during Monday's 30-16 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: The second-year wideout from Virginia showed signs of fantasy relevance last Sunday against the Bears, playing 79 percent of the offensive snaps after Russell Gage exited with a head injury and catching four of six targets for 41 yards. Zaccheaus became Matt Ryan's preferred target after Julio Jones exited Monday night's loss with a hamstring injury, and Green Bay's defense decided to focus on containing Calvin Ridley. He had just four career catches for 125 yards in 12 appearances prior to…read more

Comes alive against Bears
Zaccheaus hauled in four of his six targets for 41 receiving yards during Sunday's 30-26 loss to Chicago.
Analysis: With Julio Jones (hamstring) ruled out pre-game and Russell Gage forced to exit partway through Sunday's contest because of a head injury, Zaccheaus suddenly found himself in place as the No. 2 wide receiver within Atlanta's high-flying passing attack. After seeing just one target thrown his way across the first two weeks of 2020, Zaccheaus doubled his previous career high in catches by corralling four passes from Matt Ryan on Sunday. If Jones and Gage are forced to sit out again when the…read more

Locked in as No. 4 receiver
Zaccheaus has made the cut for the Falcons' 53-man roster, and he's expected to be the team's No. 4 wide receiver this season, Kelsey Conway of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: A second-year player, Zaccheaus is anticipated to slot in behind Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage at wide receiver, while also playing a significant role on special teams. Now that undrafted rookie Chris Rowland is officially not on the Week 1 roster, it appears Zaccheaus is the go-to option at returner aside from Brandon Powell. Zaccheaus is not expected to be a fixture in fantasy lineups, but if one of the starters at receiver were to miss a game, he may suddenly become fantasy…read more

Full-go in practice
Zaccheaus was a full participant during Monday's practice, Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The second-year man from Virginia is back on the field after missing time last week with an undisclosed injury. Zaccheaus recorded just three catches as a rookie in 2019, but he did cash in with a 93-yard touchdown during Atlanta's Week 14 victory over the Panthers. The 23-year-old may end up filling out Atlanta's rotation as a depth option at wide receiver, but with his explosiveness Zaccheaus also has potential to become a factor on special teams this season.

Sitting out Wednesday
Zaccheaus (undisclosed) missed Wednesday's practice, Tori McElhaney of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The specifics of the absence remains unclear, however, it's serious enough for the wideout to miss valuable practice reps. Zaccheaus made a slight impact coming into the league last season as an undrafted free agent, catching three of five targets for 115 yards and a touchdown in 10 games. As for the injury, it's unclear when Zaccheaus will return to the practice field.

Week 14 splash play highlights 2019
Zaccheaus caught three of five targets for 115 yards and one touchdown across 10 appearances this season.
Analysis: The 22-year-old Zaccheaus wrapped up his collegiate career as the No. 2 all-time receiver in Virginia history, but his offensive workload was extremely limited during his rookie campaign. He did play a substantial special-teams role over the latter half of the year, but his offensive snap count only exceeded 15 on one instance all season. That occasion came Week 14, when Zaccheaus played 21 offensive snaps and tore off a 91-yard catch-and-run during a 40-20 win against Carolina -- accounting…read more

Role to grow after Ridley's injury
Coach Dan Quinn said Monday that Zaccheaus and Christian Blake will fill Calvin Ridley's (abdomen) role in the offense now that he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, Jason Butt of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Zaccheaus produced an electrifying 93-yard touchdown on his first NFL reception in Sunday's win over the Panthers and now should see a substantial increase in playing time between Weeks 15 and 17 with Ridley out of the lineup. Prior to his breakout play, Zaccheaus had served primarily as a special-teams contributor when active, playing 60-plus percent of the special-teams snaps in every game between Weeks 10 and 13, but never seeing more than 11 percent of the offensive reps. He'll be in the…read more

Burns Panthers for 93-yard TD
Zaccheaus hauled in one of two targets for 93 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 40-20 win against Carolina.
Analysis: It surely can be said that Zaccheaus' first NFL reception was memorable, as his catch and run provided Atlanta with its longest play from scrimmage all season. The rookie's monstrous gain culminated in a 93-yard score to provide Atlanta with a three-possession lead at the 6:30 mark of the third quarter. Though his final fantasy output in Week 14 was eye-catching, Zaccheaus' overall offensive involvement hasn't been near the requisite level to make him a trustworthy fantasy starter.

Sees first career target
Zaccheaus was unable to bring in his only target of Thursday's 26-18 loss to the Saints.
Analysis: Zaccheaus has been getting six or seven offensive snaps per game over his last four contests, but Thursday was the first time that Matt Ryan looked the rookie's way. As his snap total didn't increase, it would be a stretch to say that his first target had too much to do with Julio Jones' (shoulder) absence, but it certainly helped. Next up is a Carolina team that is undergoing some shakeups with the firing of head coach Ron Rivera, but Zaccheaus should not be on your fantasy radar.
