Works out for Arizona
The Cardinals worked out Attaochu (pectoral) on Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Attaochu ended the 2021 campaign on IR with a pectoral injury and was released by the Bears this offseason. However, now healthy, the 2014 second-round pick is looking to work his way back onto an NFL roster. The veteran linebacker is only one year removed from totaling 52 tackles and 8.5 sacks in 25 appearances across two seasons with Denver.

Cut by Chicago
Attachou (pectoral) was released by the Bears on Monday, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Attaochu presumably was let go to help make room for free-agent nose tackle Mike Pennel, whom the team signed in a corresponding move Monday. The 29-year-old linebacker played 124 defensive snaps over five games before a torn pectoral that forced him to finish last season on the Bears' injured reserve list. Attaochu signed a two-year, $5.5 million contract with Chicago ahead of the 2021 campaign, but he ultimately was a long shot to make the team's final 53-man roster this time around while…read more

Ends season on injured reserve
Attaochu (pectoral) was placed on injured reserve Oct. 13 and ended the season with two tackles in five games.
Analysis: Attaochu tore his pectoral in Week 5, forcing him to miss the rest of the season, though he had only saw 25 snaps in the five games he played. He's signed through the 2022 season with two void years that expire in 2024, but unless he makes a significant move up the depth chart, he'll start the 2022 season off the IDP radar.

Placed on IR
The Bears placed Attaochu (pectoral) on injured reserve Wednesday, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: As expected, Attaochu was placed on injured reserve after suffering a torn pectoral during Sunday's contest against the Raiders. In a corresponding move, the Bears signed Sam Kamara to their active roster and Ledarius Mack and Rashad Smith to their practice squad.

Out for season
Attaochu suffered a torn pec Sunday and will miss the rest of the season, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Attaochu, in his first season with the Bears, has been seeing 20 to 30 snaps on a weekly basis in a reserve role. He inked a two-year deal in the spring, so he'll look to return to the Bears by the time training camp begins in the summer of 2022. This will likely force Trevis Gipson into a larger role moving forward.

Declared out Sunday
Attaochu is out of Sunday's game with the Raiders with a pec injury.
Analysis: Attaochu will surely head for tests with more news likely to follow pending the results. Trevis Gipson would stand to see more playing time if Attaochu can't go Week 6 against the Packers.

Active Week 3
Attaochu (hamstring) is active Week 3 against Cleveland.
Analysis: Attaochu missed Wednesday's practice this week due to a hamstring injury before logging limited sessions the following two days. The backup linebacker and special teamer will give it a go nonetheless, but with one combined tackle in the first two games, Attaochu is currently off the IDP radar.

Lands in Chicago
The Bears signed Attaochu to a two-year contract Sunday.
Analysis: Attaochu stands to handle a depth role in Chicago's linebacker corps while also contributing on special teams. Having only reached the 50-tackle mark once in his seven-year career, Attaochu is unlikely to emerge on the IDP radar even with a new landing spot. He does have limited value as a pass rusher, though.

Will suit up against Chargers
Attaochu (quadriceps) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Chargers.
Analysis: Attaochu entered the day carrying a questionable designation after participating in a limited fashion throughout the practice week. He had largely been unavailable for contact drills since suffering the quad injury in late September, but recent progression provided optimism he'd be able to suit up for a Week 8 divisional clash. Attaochu is expected to make his first game appearance since Sept. 27 as a starter at outside linebacker.

Declared questionable for Sunday
Attaochu (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Chargers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Attaochu returned to practice this week after missing three straight games, and he stayed on the field as a limited participant all week. The 27-year-old stands a good chance to return to the lineup Sunday, and he'd likely start at strong-side linebacker if he's active. Attaochu posted nine tackles and a sack through the first three games.

Ruled out for Sunday
Attaochu (quadriceps) won't play in Sunday's game versus the Chiefs, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: After missing yet another week of practice, Attaochu will miss a third straight game. Malik Reed started in Attaochu's place Week 6 against the Patriots and is expected to remain in that role after posting two sacks.

Unlikely to return Week 7
Coach Vic Fangio said Monday that it's "doubtful" Attaochu (quadriceps) plays Sunday versus the Chiefs, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: Ataochu is expected to miss a third straight game. Malik Reed has been covering the starting duties while Attaochu sat out and is expected to remain in that role after posting two sacks in Week 6 against the Patriots.

Out Week 6
Attaochu (quadriceps) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: The 27-year-old hasn't seen the field since Week 3 against Tampa Bay and won't be available at New England. Malik Reed is poised for a heavy workload in Attaochu's absence, since Von Miller (ankle) is already sidelined.

Unavailable for Week 5
Attaochu (quadriceps) won't play in Monday's game versus the Patriots, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports.
Analysis: Attaochu didn't practice all week and will sit out a second straight game. With Von Miller (ankle) already out long term, Malik Reed handled a majority of the reps in Week 4 against the Jets and is slated to operate in a similar capacity Monday.

Won't play Thursday
Attaochu (quadriceps) has been ruled for Thursday's game against the Jets, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Analysis: It's unclear when Attaochu picked up the injury, but it will keep him out of Thursday's clash between win-less teams. He'll have 10 days to heal up before the Broncos' Week 5 trip to New England.

Notches sack Monday
Attaochu posted four tackles and a sack in Monday's 16-13 loss to the Titans.
Analysis: Attaochu reclaimed last year's starting strong-side linebacker role following news that Von Miller (ankle) will miss the rest of the season, and he's off to a hot start in 2020. While he's not comparable to Miller as a pass-rusher, he fit the role against Tennessee with a sack, two QB hits and five QB pressures. This could be a sign of things to come for Attaochu, and he'll look to keep it rolling against Pittsburgh in Week 2.

Ticketed for larger role
Attaochu and Malik Reed are expected to share most of the snaps left behind by Von Miller's ankle injury, per coach Vic Fangio, Zac Stevens of DNVR Sports reports.
Analysis: Attaochu recorded 3.5 sacks in 12 games while playing in a rotational role for the Broncos last season, but he'll be thrust into the spotlight with Denver's premier pass-rusher likely sidelined for the entire season.

Returning to Denver
Attaochu signed a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Broncos on Monday, Mike Klis of 9News reports.
Analysis: Attaochu recorded 21 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 12 games for the Broncos last season. The 27-year-old linebacker is likely to remain in a rotational role in 2020.

Comes back in second quarter
Attaochu (lower leg) returned to Sunday's game against the Chargers, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Analysis: After leaving for a few series, Attaochu got back in action in the second quarter. It's a huge relief for the Broncos' defense since Von Miller (knee) is inactive.

Departs from Sunday's contest
Attaochu was forced out of Sunday's game against the Chargers with a lower-leg injury, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: Attaochu logged a season-high 46 snaps in Week 12's loss to the Bills, and he was due for another hefty increase in usage with Von Miller (knee) inactive. With Malik Reed (lower leg) also exiting the contest, the Broncos will be very shorthanded at outside linebacker. Justin Hollins and Ahmad Gooden figure to log increased duties, and an interior linebacker may need to bump outside.
