Remains with Titans
Skrine signed a contract with the Titans on Friday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Analysis: Skrine signed with Tennessee in November and appeared in six games for the Titans. The 32-year-old logged 17 tackles (11 solo), an interception and three pass defenses during that time, and he'll compete for a depth role ahead of the 2022 campaign.

Exits COVID-19 list
Skrine (illness) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, according to Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site.
Analysis: The outside linebacker entered the COVID-19 protocols Dec. 27 but has exited them quickly, meaning he should be available for Sunday's matchup against the Dolphins. Skrine has seen the field more often in recent weeks and has played at least 98 percent of the defensive snaps in each of his last three appearances.

Lands on COVID list
Skrine (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. The designation came as a result of a positive test, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Analysis: Skrine joined the Titans on Nov. 23 and has been a consistent presence in the secondary, having played no less than 98 percent of the defensive snaps in any of their last three contests. He'll try to clear protocols in time for Sunday, when Tennessee hosts the Dolphins.

Signed by Titans
Skrine was signed to the Titans' active roster Tuesday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The cornerback was cut by the 49ers on Oct. 11 prior to being signed by the Titans on Tuesday. After playing in 12 games for the Bears last season, recording 66 tackles and three pass deflections, Skrine has only played three snaps on special teams this season. He will provide depth in the Tennessee secondary.

Let go by 49ers
Skrine was cut from the practice squad Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Skrine had only been with the 49ers for a couple of weeks. The 11-year vet was active Week 4, but he only played three special-teams snaps. Skrine was a regular in the Bears' defense the last two seasons and now will look to potentially continue his career elsewhere. In a corresponding move, San Francisco activated cornerback Davontae Harris from IR.

Inks deal with 49ers
Skrine signed with the 49ers on Tuesday, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Injuries are stacking up in the 49ers' secondary. Jason Verrett tore his ACL in Week 1. K'Waun Williams (calf) is expected to miss a few weeks. And Josh Norman is dealing with a lung contusion. Skrine, 32, averaged 46.3 defensive snaps across 12 games for the Bears last season, so he'll add dependable depth while the Niners heal.

Let go by Bears
Skrine (concussion) has been released by the Bears, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Skrine was entering the final year of his contract with Chicago, but it ultimately has opted to go in a different direction. He recorded 112 tackles (89 solo) and three passes defensed during his two-year stint with the team. Besides the Bears, the 31-year-old has spent time with the Browns and Jets during his time in the league. He now will look for a new opportunity.

Won't face Saints
Skrine (concussion) is ruled out for Sunday's wild-card matchup against the Saints.
Analysis: Skrine still has yet to resume practicing or playing since suffering a concussion Week 13, and he'll be unavailable for Chicago's first postseason matchup. If the Bears win Sunday and make it to the NFC divisional round, it's possible that Skrine could progress through the league's five-step concussion protocol and become available.

Still not practicing
Skrine (concussion) was listed as a non-participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Skrine was concussed in Week 16 and hasn't been able to practice or play since. He'll need to pass the league's five-step concussion protocol ahead of Sunday's wild-card round game against the Saints in order to suit up.

Solid tackle total in 2020
Skrine missed the last three games of the regular season with a concussion, ending the year with 66 tackles and a forced fumble.
Analysis: Skrine has not been a great cover corner during his career, but, since opposing offenses tend to pick on him, he often posts high tackle totals, making him a solid weekly IDP option, and he should continue to be reliable in 2021.

Ruled out for regular-season finale
Skrine (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Packers, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: Skrine's absence should allow for Kindle Vildor and Duke Shelley to gain experience across from starter Kyle Fuller, as Jaylon Johnson (shoulder) also remains sidelined.

Won't return Week 16
Skrine (concussion) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Larry Mayer of the Bears' official site reports.
Analysis: Skrine did not return to practice this week and will miss a third straight game as he works his way through the league's concussion protocol. With Jaylon Johnson (shoulder) also sidelined, Chicago will again be short-handed at cornerback.

Out against Vikings
Skrine (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Vikings.
Analysis: Skrine didn't practice all week and will miss a second consecutive game. The Bears could be without two of their top three cornerbacks if Jaylon Johnson -- who didn't practice all week and is considered questionable with a shoulder injury -- is also ruled out. Skrine will aim to progress through the league's concussion protocol before the Week 16 matchup against the Jaguars.

Missing more time
Skrine (concussion) was a nonparticipant during Wednesday's walk-through practice, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: Skrine missed last week's game against the Texans due to the concussion, and he appears to still be residing in the league's concussion protocol. Skrine will likely need to continue to practice if he wants return to action in Week 15, so his practice availability throughout the week will paint a better picture of his chances to suit up. Kindle Vildor and Duke Shelley would be in line to see an uptick in snaps at cornerback should Skrine miss more time.

Not available Week 14
Skrine (concussion) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: Skrine remains in the league's five-step concussion protocol, and he won't be eligible to retake the field until he's gained full clearance. The veteran cornerback didn't practice in any capacity this week, so his status for Chicago's Nov. 20 game against the Vikings is also uncertain.

Missing practice time
Skrine was a non-participant at Thursday's practice due to a concussion, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: Skrine missed the past two days of practice, as he appears to be residing in the league's concussion protocol. He'll likely need to log some practice time Friday and clear the protocol in order to play in Sunday's game against the Texans. If Skrine is forced to miss Week 14, Kindle Vildor and Duke Shelley would be in line to see an uptick in snaps at cornerback.

Best performance of season
Skrine tallied 13 stops in Chicago's 41-25 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
Analysis: Skrine had failed to exceed seven tackles in any game this season, but Aaron Rodgers made it a point to pick on him in the passing attack, which led to a solid fantasy performance. He's recorded at least five tackles in five of his last six games, giving him an excellent floor for a defensive back in IDP leagues.

Good to go Sunday
Skrine (ankle) is active for Sunday night's game in Green Bay.
Analysis: Skrine popped up on Chicago's injury report as a limited participant in Friday's practice, but he's managed to get the green light in time for Sunday's divisional contest. The veteran cornerback played a season-low 47 percent of defensive snaps Week 10 against the Vikings, the last time we saw him on the field.

Gearing up Monday
Skrine (ankle) is active for Monday's game against the Rams.
Analysis: Skrine didn't practice until Saturday when he logged a limited session, but he'll play through the injury in the primetime game. The 31-year-old cornerback has logged at least 63 percent of the defensive snap share in each game this season, and he's slated for a similar workload Monday against a strong set of Rams receivers.

Upgrades to limited participation
Skrine (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game versus the Rams.
Analysis: Skrine was unable to practice Thursday or Friday, but he got on the field in a limited capacity Saturday, giving him a chance to play Monday. The veteran corner has started the last two games for the Bears and has logged at least 63 percent of the snap share in each game this year, so it'd be a big loss if he was unable to suit up. Rookie fifth-rounder Kindle Vildor likely would take Skrine's place, but he's played just one defensive snap all year.

Missing practice time
Skrine was a non-participant at Thursday's practice due to an ankle injury.
Analysis: It's unclear when Skrine suffered the injury, as he racked up five tackles (four solo) across 71 percent of defensive snaps in last week's game against Carolina. If Skrine was forced to miss any game action, Kindle Vildor would be the main beneficiary for more snaps for Week 7's game against the Rams.

Records four tackles
Skrine posted four stops in the Bears' 27-23 victory over the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: Skrine averaged three tackles per game in his first year with the Bears in 2019 as the team's primary slot corner, and he posted a typical performance in the season opener. He'll likely continue to function as a low-upside IDP option.

Ready to rock
Skrine (finger) is active for Sunday's game versus the Lions.
Analysis: Skrine was a full participant in practice Thursday and Friday, so he shouldn't be held back in the season opener. The 31-year-old cornerback may only play in nickel packages, however, as Kyle Fuller and rookie Jaylon Johnson are projected to start in base defense.

Questionable for Sunday
Skrine (finger) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Detroit.
Analysis: Skrine has logged two full practices since popping up on Thursday's injury report with a finger issue, so he appears to be trending in the right direction for Week 1. If he's able to suit up against the Lions on Sunday, Skrine stands to play a key role at cornerback behind Kyle Fuller and Jaylon Johnson.

Least productive season of career
Skrine posted three tackles in the Bears' 21-19 victory over the Vikings in Week 17, and he ended the year with 47 tackles and two forced fumbles.
Analysis: Skrine just completed his ninth year in the league, and, statistically, this was the worst season since his rookie campaign back in 2011. He's under contract with the Bears through 2021, and he'll likely continue to be a low-floor IDP option.

Posts solid numbers
Skrine notched five tackles in Chicago's 20-13 victory over the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: This was the first time in five games that Skrine has recorded more than three tackles, and he's averaging just three stops per contest. He's also yet to force a fumble or pick off a pass, so he'll continue to be a poor fantasy option.
